2026 Annual Symposium

The Symposium

For five years, the UQ Learning Lab has brought together researchers, educators, schools and partners to explore how the science of learning can strengthen educational practice. As the Lab marks its fifth anniversary, this year’s annual Symposium offers a chance to celebrate that journey, share research and reflect on what has been learned.

The one-day event will bring the wider Learning Lab network together to share research and practice, exchange ideas and make new connections. Through presentations, conversations and opportunities for reflection, the Symposium will showcase the breadth of the Lab’s work and partnerships while exploring emerging priorities and possibilities for the next five years.

Bringing research, practice and people together to support better learning

Guiding Questions

Together, we will explore three key questions:

  1. What have we learned from the Learning Lab’s work, research and partnerships so far?
  2. How can research, practice and collaboration continue to strengthen learning?
  3. What should the priorities be for the Learning Lab and its wider network in the years ahead?
